ARTISTS AMONG US

Join us, and watch the Artists Among Us share their talents through dance, song, photography, fashion, painting, poetry, and martial arts. This evening celebrates the work and performances of local artists, but as importantly, supports sustainable progress in countries struck by poverty and conflict.All proceeds benefit the Global Women’s Empowerment Program,Cadre 1- Afghanistan.GWEP is a unique program that will bring talented women to U.S. university graduate programs, from countries where opportunities for women are extremely limited, and where the involvement of women would make a profound difference in the development of their society.The vanguard group will be from Afghanistan, and will complete MBA degrees in nonprofit management, healthcare management, or finance/marketing, followed by a year's internship in a U.S. company/organization. GWEP will then collaborate with Afghan partners to place these women as leaders in a variety of private, public, and nonprofit institutions in Afghanistan, where they will be responsible for hiring, training, and empowering more men and women in their society.
